In 1996, Jay McCann and Chris Brogdon hatched a new idea for a different restaurant concept: a neighborhood daytime breakfast and lunch featuring traditional house-made favorites, healthy choices, and creative menu options in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. This tall order was filled when the first J. Christopher's restaurant opened in Marietta, GA in January 1997. J. Christopher's has been expanding ever since, with 22 restaurants now in operation, satisfying millions of taste buds every day.
In August 2007, the founders partnered with industry veterans Dick Holbrook and Sam Haddock to create a new company called J. Christopher's Restaurants, LLC. Subsequently, in April 2009, Holbrook and Haddock purchased the entire interest in the company. J. Christopher's Restaurants, LLC now owns the brand, concept, and intellectual property. They plan to add more company-owned restaurants while placing a heavy emphasis on growing the Brand through franchising.
Currently J. Christopher's operates restaurants throughout the greater Atlanta area and in Franklin, Tennessee, Savannah and Macon, Georgia. We are also expanding to new neighborhoods throughout Atlanta and the southeast. The company plans to add 5 or 6 new company-owned restaurants as well as 20 to 30 franchised restaurants over the next three to four years.
J Christopher's success is predicated upon a fabulous menu that features familiar food with flair. Our menu has broad appeal featuring categories such as omelets, breakfast skillets, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Our menu features traditional house-made favorites like Blueberry Crunchcakes, Strawberry Waffles, Eggs Christopher, Club House Burger, and Classic Club Sandwich. We also feature seasonal menus during the year that highlight special menu items. For breakfast, these include the Farmer's Omelet, Pumpkin Pancakes, and Gingerbread Waffles. For lunch, specialties include the Turkey Monte Cristo and French Dip sandwiches. Some of our specialty beverages during the years include Pumpkin Spice lattes and Egg Nog Cappuccinos.
We just completed the development and opening of our newest prototype restaurant in Atlanta last year. The restaurant features a softer, more comfortable dining atmosphere along with selected new technology and equipment that enables us to deliver our food in a more efficient and cost effective manner. Each J. Christopher's restaurant has its on personality accented by local art work and local menu options.
A neighborhood feeling, coupled with great food and service makes J. Christopher's a chosen gathering place for those who live and work near its locations.
