SAVOR THE SEASON THIS WINTER AT J. CHRISTOPHER'S
Atlanta, Jan. 14, 2009 – The holidays may be over but J. Christopher’s will still be giving its patrons something to anticipate. From Feb. 2 through March 29, the restaurants will serve new breakfast, lunch and even beverage items to satisfy the palate and provide different twists to longstanding, traditional favorites.
“Each time we add new specials to our menu it creates a new and exciting experience for our guests,” said Jay McCann, founder of J. Christopher’s. “We welcome the challenge of breaking up the routine of eating your customary bacon and eggs or favorite sandwich, and love to see our customers’ reactions to our new creations.”
True to its Atlanta roots, J. Christopher’s Old Fashioned Coca Cola® Glazed Ham is sure to please guests this season. A thick slice of tender ham steak is tossed in a secret recipe Coca Cola® glaze and grilled up hot and tasty. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the ham is added to a plate with a generous serving of cheese grits and accompanied by a couple of scrambled eggs and fresh fruit garnish.
Also added to the breakfast menu is the Classic Skillet Strata. J. Christopher’s describes this dish as cross between Quiche and French toast but uniquely at the restaurants, the strata is baked with smoked bacon, country sausage, mushrooms and onions and topped with hollandaise and a jack and cheddar cheese blend.
Equally as intriguing are the new additions to the restaurant’s lunch menu. The Kentucky Hot Brown is a famous dish from Louisville, KY. This classic features a grilled hearty portion of lean turkey breast piled high on thick-sliced, toasted French bread and baked under a blanket of rich, creamy, cheesy, bacon-y sauce. Those who partake in this great dish will definitely need a knife and fork to enjoy this rich delight!
Traditional favorites will also be included on this year’s winter promotional menu. Start your day with the signature Blueberry Crunchcakes grilled up hot and fresh. The Pecan Crusted Chicken and Shrimp & Grits will also be featured. All of these to please the regulars who just can’t get enough of the restaurants’ original take on ordinary indulgences.
"I think we are fairly well-known in the Atlanta community as a unique alternative to your run-of-the-mill breakfast spot,” said Dick Holbrook, president of J. Christopher’s Restaurants. “In 2009, we want customers to know that we also have an outstanding new lunch menu that adds to our appeal.”
To complement all of these wonderful dishes, three new beverages have been added to the menu. The Hazelnut Cappuccino, White Chocolate Mocha and Minty Hot Cocoa are all treats that will provide a nice and warm addition to any of the restaurants’ great meals.
J. Christopher’s Restaurant recently announced that it will begin franchising by targeting the Atlanta suburbs and markets throughout the Southeast for expansion, including Nashville, Tenn., Charlotte, NC, Jacksonville, Fla., Birmingham, Ala. and Charleston, SC.
