EXPLORE FALL'S BOUNTY AS IT IS SHOWCASED AT J. CHRISTOPHER'S
J. Christopher’s introduces pumpkin pancakes and other fall breakfast items
ATLANTA, Nov. 5, 2007 – For many Americans, October means the taste of pumpkin, apples and rich fall spices. To help customers celebrate the fall season, J. Christopher’s, is serving up three anticipated menu items: Pumpkin Pancakes, the Farmer’s Omelet and Crème Brulee French Toast.
J. Christopher’s Pumpkin Pancakes are the most anticipated item on their menu each year and this year $1 for every order sold is donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. J. Christopher’s makes its Pumpkin Pancakes by folding pumpkin puree into their thick, creamy pancake batter, cooking them on the griddle until golden brown and topping them with powdered sugar, nutmeg, pecans and fresh whipped cream.
Other fall seasonal favorites include the Farmer’s Omelet, which is bound to pleasantly surprise diners with cinnamon apples, savory sausage and cheddar cheese. It is also dusted with a touch of cinnamon and is served hot with roasted potatoes (or grits) and an English muffin.
“People are hesitant to try an omelet with apples in it, but fall in love with it after their first bite,” said Jay McCann, founder of J. Christopher’s.
Completing the extremely popular fall seasonal menu is the Crème Brulee French Toast, which is made with thick slices of fresh bread dipped in vanilla crème batter and griddled until golden brown. The slices are finished with a caramelized brown sugar topping and served hot with vanilla pudding.
“The Crème Brule French Toast is a big seller year round and as an in-store blackboard special. It is so good, we could sell it as a dessert,” McCann said.
"We are constantly trying to find flavors that help customers jump into the spirit of the season,” said Dick Holbrook, president of J. Christopher’s Restaurants. “Our new menu items bring traditions of fall to the breakfast table. Our customers tell us they look forward to this time of year because they know we will roll out our seasonal menu items.”
